A Shared Menu
Food may very well be one of the universal components flowing through the veins of every society. The act of eating is our cord to the prosperities of the soil, a lifeline vital in ensuring our survival, a bare necessity at times, and an indulgence of pleasure at best. Every meal isa circular concession of living and dying, a testament to care, an archive of its history - of struggles, exclusion, and a promise of hope. Food and Feeding carried prominent roles throughout art history and continue to do so in contemporary art practices, often embedded into a sociocritical, collaborative context. In this project, 'feeding' is viewed as a process of coming together. It holds the opportunity to create discourse and embrace the unfinished whilst sharing a meal.

Feeding Title was a two-part collective journey. Every dish told one bite-sized tale of the many possible histories of food. Throughout the evening, those fed were encouraged to share their experiments, working titles, unfinished projects, and creative processes. After all, Feeding Title, at its core, was a space and time to come together - a chance to discuss, share, and evolve ideas over a (warm) meal. The concept borrowed its structure from the rigorously ordered twelve-course menu predominant in haute cuisine - one of the most elitist and excluding forms of 'feeding'. Feeding Title conceived the single courses as fragments, randomly combining three each to lead through the separate evenings. Together, we detached these fragments from their strict corset and re-embedded them in contexts of shared critical reflection - attempting to collectively juxtapose the systematics they implied.

The project stretched twelve courses over four independent evenings. Each evening could host a total of twelve people. All meals were museum-made and vegetarian.
